The Palace
The History of the Palace

Deák Palota, as it is called since its revival, was built in 1903. Its architecture reflects the taste of the time with its nostalgic, baroque style. A former residential building, Deák Palota’s renovation was initiated in 2003 by Immobilia Ltd.
Architecture and design

The building was designed to provide the most light in the main hall, formerly an inner yard. Sunlight penetrates into the hall through a large, slanting glass roof and provides a special atmosphere in the spacious interior, named a „light well” by the designers. All corridors overlooking the main hall have transparent glass walls, while other surfaces being white, all offices receive plenty of natural light. The glass walls of the panorama elevator are also completely transparent.
The interior of the hall, including the edges of the walls and the renovated plaster decoration, is lit by special light beams, providing special design effects. This effect is further enhanced by the daring design of the red Ronarad Victoria & Albert modern furniture composition in the center of the hall.
The building has some 4800 sqm rentable area, out of which 3200 is occupied by office units. Much of the ground floor is taken up by an elegant retail space with some six and a half metres of headroom.
A café & restaurant and a conference room are located on the first floor, and another five floors are reserved for office units. Headroom is uniquely high on all levels, despite the raised floor and the high quality suspended ceiling.
From Roof Garden cafe & cocktail bar one can delight in many attractions of downtown Budapest.
The complete engineering is controlled by an intelligent building control system (EIB, DDC). Heating and cooling through the suspended ceiling can be controlled separately for each room.
Safety is secured by a magnetic card entry system, a central door, motion, heat and smoke alert system and a CCTV system. Luxury treatment is further ensured by a 24 hour discrete concierge service, elegant meeting rooms, server rooms. Tenants can park in the neighbouring underground parking lot of the Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest.
