HUGO BOSS

Established in 1923 in the small town of Metzingen, near Stuttgart, Hugo Boss first attracted attention as a manufacturer of raincoats and waterproof clothing. The apparel was a huge success and very soon the firm was considered one of the premier companies of its time. Today, Hugo Boss is indisputably one of the largest fashion retailers in the world. The brand is one of the leaders in men’s fashion, and in addition to holding a significant place in the fragrance market, it also retails watches, shoes, eyeglasses, and leather goods as well. It also sponsors various sports, such as the Formula 1, golf, tennis, and downhill skiing.

In 1993, the Hugo Boss firm created a three-pronged brand concept, in which Hugo, Boss, and Baldessarini constitute three independent but interlinked brands which all bear the parent company’s easily-identifiable insignia.
